Thrive – Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of Thrive (“Thrive – Wellness Coach”), an app for iPhone and Apple Watch developed by Ahmed Shaheed. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. License

Your use of Thrive is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for licensed applications, which forms the baseline agreement between you and the developer. Apple’s standard EULA is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These terms supplement that EULA; where they add detail (for example, subscription and AI terms below), they apply in addition to it.

2. What Thrive does

Thrive is a personal tool for tracking nutrition, hydration, training, cardio, and sleep/recovery, with an optional AI coach. It is a fitness and wellness aid, not a medical device.

3. Thrive Pro subscription

The core app — manual macro, water, and training logging with weekly progression on iPhone — is free. The optional Thrive Pro subscription unlocks the AI features (free-form logging, photo meals, coach notes, sleep verdicts, cardio debriefs, and AI-built workouts), the Apple Watch app, and the sleep/recovery features.

4. Fair-use AI limit

To keep the subscription sustainable, a monthly fair-use cap applies to AI usage for subscribers. The cap is set generously — roughly half the subscription value in underlying AI cost — and is intended to cover normal daily use comfortably. The usage counter resets each month. If you reach the cap, AI features pause until the next reset; on-device tracking continues to work normally.

5. Not medical advice

Thrive is not a medical professional and does not provide medical advice. The AI coach, coach notes, verdicts, and any suggestions in the app are informational and for general fitness and nutrition purposes only. They are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription.

Always consult a qualified doctor or other healthcare professional before making decisions about your training, diet, or health — and especially regarding any medications, including GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide). Do not rely on the app for medical, dosing, or clinical guidance. If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter and for how you act on the app’s output. Train and eat within your own limits and your healthcare provider’s guidance.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Thrive is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete; verify anything important. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version will be posted at this address with a new date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
